My daughter and I both read the first book in “The Thirteenth” series and reviewed it here on our blog, as well as on Good Reads and Amazon. I have since finished books 2 and 3, as well, and will post my reviews of those as soon as I am done with my huge backlog of other reviews I need to complete (a blogger’s work is never done), but in short they are both equally as awesome and the series just continues to be a lot of fun to read and engrossing.
Through becoming fans of the series, I have had the opportunity to chat and “meet” (online) the author of this series, G. L. Twynham. She is a delightful person and I am honored to consider her a friend. She has graciously offered five readers a signed, first edition copy of the first book in the series, also called “The Thirteenth.”
This is a series written with teens/young adults in mind, but I loved it even though I’m technically … (let’s not discuss age – just say I’m forever 18 at heart). It is in the sci-fi/fantasy genre and is loads of fun and a quick read. You can check out my review, as well as my daughter’s, here.
